TFC Tackle Hunger Event

Last week I had the opportunity to join the TFC, Purolator, and the Daily Bread Food Bank for the annual Purolator Tackle Hunger Game Day Food Drive. As a former athlete and sports broadcaster who still likes to stay close to the sports action in Toronto, this was an amazing opportunity to meet some professional soccer players, but also to shine a light on the great organizations helping people in need in our city.

I was joined by Clint Irwin, Drew Moor and Mark Bloom of Toronto FC’s first team, who are helping to sort much-needed food for individuals and families in different communities around Toronto. Irwin, Moor and Bloom will be visiting Daily Bread Food Bank to sort food and review high-need items leading up to the team’s pre-game food collection on Saturday, July 9 when TFC takes on the Chicago Fire.
